Chauvin’s drawings explore human connection and distance, finding comfort in loss and tender poetry in nearness. Her figures weep and embrace, rendered in a hand that draws attention to every touch, the subtle movements and gestures that allow for togetherness. When her figures are entwined, we feel the inevitable absence of that same touch. When they are alone, we cannot help but recall fleeting caresses, now distant.
Born in the south of France. Currently located in Bruxelles where she is studying graphic design and engraving.
